Frequently asked questions
How scoring works, what we are not, and how reputation and popularity stay separate.
For the big picture, see About.
Resolved forecasts only. Based on Polymarket odds at the time you predicted.
Upvotes (+1) and downvotes (−1) on comments and forecasts. Never affects reputation.
Reputation scoring
When a market resolves, your formal forecast is scored using the market probability at the moment you submitted it:
Correct → + (100 − market %) · Incorrect → − market %
Consensus pick — market at 90% Yes
You forecast Yes. Polymarket already priced it as very likely.
Contrarian call — market at 10% Yes
You forecast Yes against the crowd. Higher reward, lower penalty if wrong.
Coin flip — market at 50%
Balanced odds mean symmetric stakes either way.
Every change creates an auditable event record with a human-readable reason. Resolved forecasts cannot be deleted.
Common questions
Reputation measures whether your formal forecasts were right after markets resolve. Popularity measures social engagement — upvotes and downvotes on comments and forecasts.
A meme comment can top the popularity leaderboard while a quiet analyst tops reputation. The systems never cross-contaminate.
No. Comments only affect Popularity through votes. Reputation changes only when a formal prediction you published is resolved against the market outcome.

Your public track record can still be valuable off-platform: paid newsletters, consulting, sponsorships, or premium analysis built on the credibility you earn here.
We maintain two separate rankings:
